Veterans Newsletter - JANUARY 2024

Hello fellow golfers and welcome back to the Mollymook Vets for 2024. I trust everyone had an enjoyable time with family and friends over the break and no doubt you are all eagerly looking forward to seeing hoards of yellow shirts gracing the fairways again. 

On a sad note, for those who didn’t know – our dear friend Dick Shaw passed away from complications after an operation over the Christmas period. Dick made many commitments helping others throughout his life and will be sorely missed in the rugby community at club, state and international level as well as the golfing fraternity at Mollymook. Rest in peace mate. 

Now an update on changes to the vets committee – Phil McGuire will be taking on an interim Secretary roll in conjunction with his Treasurer’s duties, Tim Inness is the elected new Captain and Gerard Taniane has accepted the position as Vice Captain. I am sure all members will give the committee your full support. With the change in the committee, we have lost our expertise in the preparation of the monthly newsletter for distribution. If anyone out there can assist in this area your participation would be greatly appreciated. 

See you on the first week of our return, I wish everyone a healthy and enjoyable golfing experience in 2024 and please remember to pay your subs as soon as possible. Cash only and no we don’t do electronic.
