MOLLYMOOK GOLF CLUB HONOURED AS ‘COUNTRY CLUB OF THE YEAR’ AT THE 2024 NSW Golf Industry Awards Night!
We're proud to announce that Mollymook Golf Club has been recognised as the COUNTRY CLUB OF THE YEAR at the 2024 NSW Golf Industry Awards!
The awards were held in Sydney on November 11th, 2024, honouring excellence across all aspects of golf and highlighting clubs that have excelled in several areas, including member engagement, inclusivity, course improvements, and community outreach.
We’d like to thank our Members, Volunteers, Board of Directors, Management and the entire team for all their efforts in helping us to achieve this incredible accolade.
The Hilltop & Golf Manager, Barry West said...
"It is a great achievement for the Club to win this award. We have an experienced leadership team with an awesome team of staff and we are all supported by our Board of Directors. This award really goes to all the Hilltop and Beachside staff members.
The Club has certainly gone through some changes over the years. We are always looking for ways to improve our operations and facilities to provide a better experience for our Members and guests.
In recent times, we renovated our 9 hole Beachside course making it much more family friendly. We completed a massive renovation on our Beachside Clubhouse earlier this year adding more floor space and our new Salt & Spencer restaurant.
We are now focusing on our Hilltop course. This week, we started construction on a new 19th green which will allow us to add an additional hole. Next year, we will start renovating the Hilltop course, one hole at a time, completing 3 holes per year while keeping 18 holes in play at all times. The Hilltop course will have new drainage, a new irrigation system, more Teeing grounds with improved putting surfaces, surrounds and bunkering. We are "future proofing" the course for another 30 years.
I've been in the golf industry for over 35 years now and Mollymook Golf Club is certainly the most progressive clubs I've ever worked at. We have a great Board who are committed to setting the club up for decades to come."
